Loved the food although portions were too big to finish. Good friendly service and you could happily sit there all day watching the world go by in the market. We had a lamb kebab each but one between us would have been plenty and we were told by the waiter that we could have happily shared. we'll know next time. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pappa & Ciccia:
We came in the afternoon. Place was empty . The waiter did not speak english so we ordered some minestrone soup with taste of ready to cook from caned soup in a super market with some over cooked vegetabales and salad maked of onions and tomato cucamber dead some years ago sesond with extra salted cheese. Disaster. Avoid even if there is no other rest in town. View all feedback.
After the arrival in london we stumbled over this hidden gem. it was packed so we had a drink outside and fortunately for a table in the inner. the personal is super friendly. the owner who has to speak Italian in italian that we found authentic and...charming super worth, will probably be back in our short stay!
After reading so many good reviews and so close to life, we decided to give this place a try. I ordered the grilled calamari and my friend the pasta of the day. After eating all summer grilled calamari in Greece and Spain, I was really looking for...forward while waiting smells something burned. I got my calamari and they looked good, only the little ones looked burned out. when we both tasted, everything was bitter and burned. After he had told the waiter, the owner came back with the teller and put it on the table next to us. He said they always burned them like that. no understanding for my complaint when I asked him to taste his reaction that he did not eat fish. didn't want to change it or make someone taste different. this is not the way they treat customer complaints and make them pay for it. Maybe he'll have to clean his grill so that it won't happen again. we never go again! oh, the pasta of the day was so.
That loved eating even though the portions were too big to finish. good friendly service and they can fortunately sit there all day and watch the world passing on the market. we had a lamb kebab everyone, but one between us would have been a lot and we were told by the waiter that we could have shared happily. next time.
Great service and even better icream! Make sure you try their poppyseed icecream and coffe version. True icream paradise!
Best espresso in the area. Marco and his team live the italian style with coffee, wine and pastas as if we were at the market in Milano or Firenze. They just don't close when the market does.
