I visited Loca with high expectations, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The service and playlist were good, but the food felt underwhelming and not worth the price. The overall fine dining experience lacked refinement, and the pacing of the courses felt rushed. Sadly, it did not live up to the reputation.
To start, the waiter was very nice and we liked the wines very much. But the pace that the dishes where served in was way to quick, we would not have finished our wines and we would get another wine and dish instantly. Although the wines were nice, the food was very bad for a fine dining restaurant, even for a normal restaurant. We had a burrata , with a few cheap cherry tomatoes and some avocado cream. The burrata was very heavy and hard, it tasted like the cheapest supermarket mozzarella. Then we had some chicken lentil dish, which was oké but not special. After we had a truffel beef dish, which was the best and honestly okey! But the dessert was again very disappointing, it was ice cream with some chocolate confetti that also tickled your mouth(like the children’s popping ice cream), it felt like a very childish choice. I think it’s sad, because if the ambiance was a bit slower and more chique and the food, of good quality, it would have been oke. But we paid 240 euros for a four course menu(whit very small bites).
Food: The meal course was incredible; everything tasted fresh and well prepared. Wine: The wine selection is excellent and pairs very well with the food. The Austrian selection was spectacular. Service: Dennis made the experience truly exceptional. He took the time to explain everything, was very attentive, and went out of his way to accommodate our little ones’ taste buds. The wine grape juice was unbelievable. Cleanliness: The restaurant was spotless and smelled great.
