Arriving for lunch in early afternoon, we ordered soft drinks (the raspberry iced tea was good), fried fish and...Chicken Cordon Bleu (clarified twice with the waitress). The drinks arrived, soon followed by the fish; the Cordon Bleu never came. I'm willing to forgive the waitress for her forgetfulness, given that she had a hacking cough and sneeze (leaving the contents of each on her sleeve), and controlled it with short mugs of beer and chain smoking I'm almost afraid I would have contracted an illness had I eaten. The only other person we saw working left shortly after our arrival, despite a rather busy outside seating area. The dogs inside did keep us entertained.

We did not have high expectations based on the location and the fact that there was only one person working there. The waiter/bartender/host did an outstanding job handling...the entire restaurant and we were very pleased with our beef soup. One of the best beef broth soups we've had. The beer was cold, fries were hit and crispy, and the prices were good. If you're in the area and looking for a quick bit to eat, we recommend this place.

Wife had fresh potato soup that you could taste was fresh. My brother and I split with my brother a lunch for...two that we could not finish it as it was more like for three. The prices were very reasonable. Given the name it Gosser Beer on tap which was also good. A good place to relax for a nice lunch. Given this was the off season for the prater amusement park it was not crowded at all during the week. We went there for a second time during our stay in Vienna.

From Tripadvisor's list comments were good and we wanted to try more Austrian food as it should. Food was great and well...served. Reasonable prices being in Vienna. It was not the warmest service but OK, everyone can have a bad day or his particular mood at the time. Apart from that all was excellent until the unthinkable happened. I know it was Winter and Sunday almost people less but the restaurant advertises it closes by 10pm and at 9pm when we finished our main courses as soon as we picked up the dessert cart we were told the kitchen was closed! No desserts... Maybe I am wrong but this would be unthinkable in Portugal to say the least. Even more one hour ! before closing. Otherwise please let people know the 10pm is not for dinner...

In the end decided to try famous schnitzel in here. Now I could say I would like to have tried...the schnitzel in some other place. There were places, were it looked better, with a little higher price. But sometimes you need to pay more, to get better thing. In the end schnitzel was nothing special
