After 2 horrible dinners in Vienna, finally we find this Gasthaus.The place is simple and essential, without much furniture, but it has the charm of the old.The food was fantastic, and we can say the same for the service. the owner (I think he was the owner) was really kind and sympathetic. What Ferdinando Conte doesn't like about Gasthaus Ubl:
it is a typical white restaurant, and thanks to it there are still some. medium prices (for hown standard) weine, quite pleasant traditional Austrian cuisine. two of our three meals were well prepared, the other at least ok (fired lamb, though.) but: the. place is open until midnight says the away and said the waitress; but on a Saturday evening the kitchen closed around a quarter behind nine. we were bred by our two... Gasthaus ubl is a very inconveniently seeking facility, but if you decide to eat here, they are for a treatment. it is close to the nasty market, but still retains a charming, distant feeling. Here comes the table-spitz with dill, the Wienerschnitzel is exactly the right size, and if they are lucky, they can ask for fascated laibs (meat balls). nothing nice, simply delicious food from high quality ingredients.
Sehr netter Service, gutes Essen eher Hausmannskost als gehoben, das ist aber lobend gemeint! Bei unserem Besuch eher kühle Temperatur im Lokal, was bei dem großen und recht nüchtern eingerichtetem Raum (mit knarzenden Stühle, aus der Jahrhundertwende???) eher zu einer ungemütlichen Atmosphäre führte.Ich würde aber gerne wieder kommen (im Sommer !)
Ein gasthaus im besten sinn, wie es nich mehr leicht zu finden ist. ausgezeichnete küche, traditionell und doch leicht.wundervolles ambiente, allein die schank ist eine REISE wert.
Ausgezeichnetes Wiener Essen in typischem Beils-Ambiente, wunderbar. Haben mit der Familien einen schönen Abend verbracht und gut gegessen.
Freundlicher Wirt, uriges Ambiente. Die Speisen (Lamm, Schnitzel, Eierschwammerl, Palatschinken) wirkten alle frisch zubereitet und schmeckten ausgezeichnet
