Contribute FeedbackRango's Tex-Mex Grill in Vienna, VA, offers a vibrant atmosphere and a diverse menu that appeals to many. Diners rave about the flavorful skirt steak fajitas and delightful drinks, with attentive service enhancing the experience. However, some patrons noted slow service, particularly during busy hours, and challenges with noise levels and menu simplicity, especially regarding appetizers like guacamole. While many commend its kid-friendly environment, others urge caution, citing instances of poor customer interaction. Overall, Rango's is a lively spot worth exploring if you prioritize tasty food and a fun bar vibe, but expect potential service hiccups.
Delicious food. Especially the Carne Asada. The place can get really busy after 5, and especially weekends.Food: 5/5
Surprisingly disappointed by my first visit here. Came in on a Sunday evening with no wait and it took 10 minutes to get a drink order in. When it came down to the food it was lack luster at best. The salsa is very watery and flavorless. The food is really no better. Rice was bland, beans needed a lot of life but even salt couldn’t save them. I will say that the steak in the steak soft Tacos was flavorful and actually tender, but was a greasy and hard to handle flour tortilla with steak, onion and a hint of pepper to begin with is pretty sad. A little scoop of sour cream and guacamole on the side. I don’t even like to review a restaurant on a singular visit but this place was a real disappointment. Fine Tex mex it is not even close to and for the price, you would be better off getting uncle Julio’s with some table side guacamole. Rango’s is a complete disappointment. The service after drinks is the only thing to keep this review from 1 star
I would leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre for the price and to make it even worse it is not even close to authentic. Took an hour to get food and they messed up. Owner/Manger was very rude. I will not recommend this place. The waiters who served us were nice but I saw a Manger yelling at one of the kids. WHY WOULD you talk to anyone else 's kid like that, who gave you the authority. Why did you NOT tell the parents what the problem was. These kids were only trying to watch a match on the TV which was little far from our table, and kids were not allowed to sit at the bar where the TV was located. This man didn 't have the courage to come to us tell us what the problem was but passed a comment when we were leaving to a friend who accompanied us that (his kid was not even there) that Your kids are a mess ?
We had the worst dinner experience ever. The owner/ manager was so rude and disrespectful. He made personal comments on our kids like “Your kids are a mess” and “You need to educate your kids” while we were walking out. This was from a restaurant that calls itself a family place. He also kept on giving us and our kids bad glances throughout our dinner. They also served us wrong food and took forever to bring the right food. And had the audacity to charge us for the wrong food order as well.Food was mediocre. And somewhat overpriced. Super sweet drinks. Cheese was overloaded in all dishes.Ambience is dim but the tables are setup so close to each other. Bad quality furniture. There are a lot of Mexican places in the area. Strongly discourage going here. The owner even said Do not come back.I am definitely not going to come back and make sure anyone I know doesn’t go there either.Mediocre food is still ok but making personal comments on someone’s kid is not okay at all. You don’t tell a parent to educate your kids and that their kids are a mess. You have no idea what the parent might be dealing with. Very inappropriate and inconsiderate. And if you can’t handle kids, don’t call yourself a “family restaurant”I will never go back there and would discourage people (specially with kids) to not go there either.Horrible horrible night.Worst experience ever.Ruined our dinner and night. So disappointed.
