Fantastic spot for concerts! The bar pizzas are delicious, and they have a great selection of local beers.
Update (August 17, 2024): I attended a show last night featuring the amazing singer-songwriter David Wilcox. The atmosphere was just as great as before, with wonderful sound and very good pizza. The waitstaff was both friendly and skilled. However, it can get chilly inside, especially if you're sitting under one of the air vents, as we were, so be sure to dress accordingly.
Really cool, super small music venue with great food and craft beer.
A great place to hear a local group! Not so large that the sound is lost and not so small that you can't move around.
Fun place to listen to music. Good sound. Plenty of flood to dance on. Not a lot of chair/tables on a crowded night. Fun and helpful staff. Pizza inexpensive and good enough.
Jammin’ Java in Vienna, VA is an intimate, community-focused music venue and café known for superb acoustics, a skilled sound crew, and standout pizza. Hosting local to international acts, a music school, and private events, it offers VIP seating and a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. Patrons praise the programming and food, though some report cramped seating, occasional service lapses, inconsistent show timing, and uneven cocktail quality.

You need to clone Katie behind the bar. She is top notch. Very patient and conscientious, but still quick and accurate. Hard to find from a bartender.
This is a spacious local music venue that offers both table and seating options. It boasts great sightlines and a strong focus on sound quality. The comfort food is excellent, and the full bar features local Viennese beers on tap. Ultimately, the main attraction here is the performers, and both the setup and the staff work hard to enhance the experience. The service staff is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The venue welcomes audiences of all ages, making it a perfect spot to meet friends, enjoy good food and drinks, and listen to some of the best local music. It's a gem!
The Jam staff are the best, always make it a priority to visit here on my trip to DC.
Always an exception awesome time at JJ!! I love your vibe, cool and professional staff and great music!!
This is a wonderful coffee bar, pub, restaurant, and music venue. The performances I attended featured fantastic talent and great music. They also offer a delightful selection of coffee and cocktails. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was—the macaroni and cheese with pulled pork was particularly delicious. The service was consistently excellent, especially with "Catie," our server from last night.

Fantastic music venue! It offers a little something for everyone and has a great atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the acoustics were excellent. The sound engineer did a fantastic job during the show. The bar had a solid selection, and the food was tasty—we ordered a half pizza, which was a perfect size for a music club. VIP tickets provide you with a seated area to the side with tables. This is exactly what I look for in a music venue to support artists.
Honestly... it was a quaint little bar with an even TINIER venue..... but it was LEGIT !! ? The atmosphere was EXACTLY what you would expect from a bar/venue... friendly staff.....clean facilities.... intimate setting that just BEGS you to bring a date..... yeah.... if you're trying to not spend too much... yet still have a fun and romantic time with your significant other. ... this is the place to do it !! ? Oh.... they also have an outdoor patio where you can relax as well..... all in all.....I'd go back ?
Watched Vienna Tang here and she was amazing. Sound and lighting added to the fun atmosphere. Staff was super friendly. Didn't order food this time, but pizza smelled great.
Bigger on the inside, for sure. Looks like an old dive bar with a stage in back. Definitely the place to see your favorite small-club band. The crowd at Rev Peyton was a little older and more laid back, so it was a great show with zero foolishness. Good service at the bar. Plenty of parking. Lots of pre-game eats nearby.
Drove up from West Palm Beach Florida to see 40 Fingers guitarists concert! Nice, cozy, enjoyable venue. All employees were very accommodating and nice! Would definitely drive back up again from Florida if there was a concert that I knew I couldn't see anywhere else like this one!

A charming little spot with live music! I discovered it because an indie band I follow was playing there. In addition to being a small music venue, they also run an active music school. The prices also seem to be in line with other places in the area.
It had been twenty years since my last visit, but I had a fantastic experience last weekend! The music was incredible—definitely check out Rachel Levitin or Tony Lucca. The atmosphere of the place was great, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. My only complaint, which doesn't even warrant taking away a star, is that the seating at the tables felt a bit cramped. I managed to squeeze in fine, but it was a bit tricky getting in and out for the bathroom or other needs. Overall, it was a perfect outing!
If you're over 60, this is an ideal live music bar for you. Concerts begin at 7:00 PM and wrap up by 9:00 PM, allowing you to get to bed early. It's the only bar where you can enjoy a rock concert while sitting comfortably in a chair, as if you're attending a theater performance. However, it seems the staff have lost their motivation and don't appear happy to serve. If your pizza comes out burnt, it doesn't seem to matter to anyone.
Went to see some live music as I 'm not caught up on my need to hear/see/experience it due the shut down caused by COVID-19. The free concert was a Grateful Dead cover band called Born Cross Eyed so the crowd was obviously Dead Heads . It was lots of fun. The menu choices are limited as the place is really a pizza joint but being dinner time I enjoyed a light big snack of loaded French fries which was plenty of food for me. They also do have a full bar unlike many of the
31 years in Virginia, and I finally got to Jammin Java for the Chuck Prophet show on 11/7. Very intimate venue ~200), great sight lines, and super sound. Didn?t get any of the wonderful smelling pizza next time), but did get beers from the bar in the lobby mad props to Lana doing wonders behind the bar. Already scanning the schedule looking for more shows!
