17 € lunch menu with garbure (meat and vegies soup), bbq lamb chps, and dessert nice choice of regional wines ; ended up with 30 € pp with 2 half bottles of wine, 2 coffe, and 1 tea the garbure was fresh and tasty, on of the best I have ever had (not like the burnt one we got the day before), with more meat than bones lamb was from the owner's farm, very tasty and tender, a real treat ! side potatoes were just perfect and tasted new chocolate mousse was light, and local sheep's milk cheese was delightful, light view from the terrase on a waterfall and mountains quiet, as the village is not on the main road leading to the Tourmalet lovely and talkative owner really worth the 10 min detour from our trip between Lourdes and Gavarnie !.
What Lise Roland doesn't like about L'auberge De Viella:
In terms of the meal, nothing to say, everything is excellent. However, you should know that the boss is not the most friendly. It’s a shame, it spoils the culinary experience which was up to par. View all feedback.
The meal was very good, the kitchen is authentic and the setting is hot. the real entrance trim is delicious
Very friendly, simple, local and excellent inn, I recommend Service: 5 Location: 5
We went there on recommendation and it was a pleasant time. Very warm place with a fireplace. The meal was also very good and the manager was very friendly with us. We in turn recommend it.
We went there with my friends one afternoon. Nothing to say. Excellent and very generous dishes. Very good value for money. And the manager is very kind and has a good atmosphere like at home!
