The burritos here are healthy portions/sizes, extremely flavorful, and I highly recommend the wet/enchilada style with lettuce, sauce and melted cheese on top! Add some chips, salsa and fresh guacamole, a filing and very yummy meal!
This was my first time here and I have been really wanting to try this place out. This is a Chipotle, Subway or Pieology type, Mexican grill. In other words, you get to choose some of your toppings and add-ons, in an assembly line style. The establishment is very clean. I found the food to be very fresh, flavorful and of good quality. My only reason that I could not give a 5 star rating was that they charged extra for salsas! Also, if you happened to purchase a meal that comes with guacamole, the scoop they give you, is so so small. If you want an extra scoop, they will charge you over a dollar for an equally tiny scoop. I really think that is over the top and I almost knocked off another star because of the salsa and guacamole issues. I mean, how many people eat this kind of food without salsa and dry? Anyway, the food was very good and I do recommend it. However, I do hope that Cafe Rio may consider adding a salsa bar in the near future.
The establishment was clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. They have a simple menu with decent prices considering the portions customers receive.
Updated review: I’ve came to this location a few times. Originally gave them 4 stars but now I’m dropping it to 2. They are extremely disorganized in the kitchen, the workers all seemed stressed out and are barking orders to each other behaving frantically even though it wasn’t busy when I arrived. Apparently if someone orders nachos they have to sing the ‘nacho’ song in a group. I can see how this is entertaining but I felt that it was pretty embarrassing for the workers. The cashier took way too long processing orders my food was cold by the time I was able to eat it :’ I can’t recommend this place right now but the quality of food is good and I read about the owner seems like a good person. I am willing to try it again and update my review. Original Review: We wanted to try out the newest restaurant in Victorville so we decided to come in for an early dinner. It was pretty busy and all of the tables were taken so we decided to take our orders to go. I ordered the grilled steak burrito enchilada style, it came came out to $12.16 for one but they are having a special BOGO deal you can get the coupon on their Facebook : .
