I ordered cod goujons and chips. Didn't realise it was cash only, staffer asked if they should put the order through whilst I went to get cash, which I agreed. Upon my return asked if a mayo dip could be added, which it was, and charged. After a twenty minute wait my order was called. I asked if they dip was in the bag, they said I didn't order one, I would need to pay. I said I did and spoke to the cashier who had placed it. After a short time to-ing and fro-ing I left minus the dip, letting them know I would not be back. It might only be a dip, but you need to get what you pay for. I actually threw my food away after this (my decision, I'd rather be hungry).
My friend and I used to always go to this chip shop every Friday but we got sausages and chips out of it and they tasted off we later discovered that we had food poising!! We avoided the place for 7 months.... we decided to try it again last Saturday 13/09/14. I got a chicken burger chips my chips were freezing!! Hot chips were on top of my cold chips! A few hours after that I began to feel very queasy it got worse as the days past serve pains in my stomach and feel nausea, constantly having daily heartburn and feeling very thirsty not wanting to hardly eat I had another dose of food poising!! I am only starting to feel normal now 6 days later!! I will never ever be back!! it's was awful.....
3 times I have eaten from here and 3 times I have been disappointed. 1st meal was a steak sandwich. I left out the salad as it was a hot sandwich I was advised. The meat was cooked on a griddle which left it very greasy the bread was saturated and the meat was non existent, one fine layer of thin greasy meat. 2nd visit I asked if they did proper chicken fillet burgers I was told yes but what I got was one of those processed chicken burgers not a fresh battered chicken fillet but I still paid the price you would for a proper fillet burger. 3rd meal was this evening a doner kebab. It was not doner and again it was fried on a grease filled hotplate. The meat was in fairness better quality than doner meat but I like doner meat on occasions and that's what I was told I was getting. And to add insult I counted 12 small slithers of meat I don't expect a tone of meat but this was pitiful and once again it was swimming in grease running threw the chips making them like greasy mush. The onions and peppers where also like mush. I threw it in the bin I might as well just have threw my money out the car window on the way home. Worst chippy I have had the misfortune of eating from. Never again. Oh and from what I have seen their fish looks tiny only going from what I seen on display. And the prices are just as bad as most places.
Food is lovely best chippy I've had in a long time
