Ross Bay Pub - Victoria

The menu was fantastic, making it difficult to choose what to order. Our food was flavorful and beautifully presented. The prices were a bit on the high side, though.

I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and fries, along with the special 1516 lager. I thoroughly enjoyed both. It's a cozy spot to grab a pint and a quick meal after a walk around Dallas Road or Ross Bay Cemetery. The service was excellent and very attentive.

We arrived right at opening time and ordered the special. The food was outstanding, and our server was both attentive and laid-back. Although she forgot our appetizer, she handled it professionally and brought it out afterwards. The pub graciously comped the missed dish, and we left feeling satisfied and very happy. It was a wonderful experience!

Reminds me of my hometown pub, cute and quante. Food is decent. The game is always on. Drinks are OK. Prices are good. Staff can be hit or miss. Last time we were there, party of 2, we took a corner table, not knowing it was music Bingo and was mist likely going to be busy. At the time, there were over a dozen open tables, the waitress tried to get us to change to a 2 person table. We would have; however they only had hightops left and I'm not that tall so they're not the most comfortable for me. After that, service was so-so.

Had a Reuben that I enjoyed. I had fries too, which were good. Food came hot. No pickle and no extra mustard was served but it was still good. I ended up being ok after so didn’t ask for any. I could taste the oil for the first few fries but it went away after. Hubs had an order of wings and a burger. I tried a wing, not overly stove hot but ok. Tasted the oil, so didn’t dig in for more. Hubs appreciated the burger being hot and the lettuce/tomato being cold. I thought the patty was a very very generous size. No pics of that. Service with our waitress was great. Will go again.
