I was delighted to return to Rebar after several years away. I ordered the Super Bowl while my partner had the potato wedges on the side. The peanut sauce that accompanied the Super Bowl was excellent! The entire bowl was beautifully presented and generously filled. The potato wedges were also very tasty, especially with the sauce. What User doesn't like about Rebar Modern Food:
I don't know much about vegan Reuben sandwiches, but I can say that the marinated tempeh, sauerkraut, and sauces used in this sandwich make it one of my all-time favorites. The vegan chocolate cake, when available, is also delicious. Some of the other options on the menu are a bit surprising and seem overpriced. I've heard that the new owners aren’t paying their staff well, so it’s not as enjoyable as it used to be.... View all feedback.
The wine selection was excellent, too. We ended up staying longer than we planned because we were having such a great time. The atmosphere at Rebar is wonderful, and all the staff were delightful, especially Blando. She was incredibly sweet and attentive, offering great suggestions and chatting with us about our experiences in Victoria. You really need to open a Rebar in Vancouver; I know it would be a huge success! Thank you so much for a fantastic experience, and we will definitely return when we're in town again.
We visited this restaurant on our final morning in Victoria and ordered the Chef's Omelette. It was delicious! The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the staff was friendly, and the coffee was strong. I highly recommend it!
