Contribute FeedbackGuests have had mixed experiences at the hotel restaurant. Some found the food burnt, service slow and impolite, and bills a bit high. Others were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, excellent service, and reasonable prices. The hospitality of the staff also received high praise, with some describing it as the best meal of their holiday. Overall, guests appreciated the good breakfast options, tasty dinners, and memorable service. Despite some imperfections, many would return for the delicious meals and warm hospitality provided by the staff.
LOVE IT! Breakfast options are good. Dinner is amazing - we tried different things on the menu and loved everything. Nachos are soooo gooooood! I would go back for sure!
I had the shaved sirloin on yorkshire pudding and mixed greens salad. The dressing wax delicious! The dining room very nicely appointed. It was a great value for price.
This restaurant is within the Travelodge hotel and has the same tired, somewhat rundown feel about it. However, the kitchen and serving staff were friendly (...and very apologetic). We saw two people from the kitchen and didn't have the impression of more, and there was one person serving. She was running between the sports bar upstairs and the eatery downstairs, delivering food up, drinks down and the credit card machine between both. On arrival there are a stack of menus and a notice suggesting you head for the kitchen staff if nobody is around. It's not somewhere to eat if you're up against the clock!Having said that - everyone was very friendly, the food was freshly cooked and tasted good. The menu had general pub fare and portion sizes were good. I wouldn't recommend this as the the place to go for a special occasion or with a large group who may overwhelm the lack of staff (if our experience was typical) but if you're staying nearby and need something easy and low key then don't overlook the Old Coachman. The breakfast menu looked great but we didn't get around to trying it. I felt confident in the staff and we enjoyed the food and thankfully we weren't in a hurry. Perhaps there are usually more staff - we were there on a weekday and maybe not many diners were expected.
We had breakfast, and it was great. Good coffee. I had the eggs benedict and it was perfect. and our waitress was quick, friendly and helpful.
Our family joined trip advisor just to say thanks to Margaret and Pink (staff). Welcomed my wife and kids with the upmost hospitality. Thanks for the Dinner suggestion. Best meal this week of holidays.
