Thanks so much for having a yummy vegan, gluten-free homemade black bean burger so I didn’t have to resort to just a salad! Hubby *loved* the seafood chowder and plans to have the fish n chips again! Next time just one of them lol. Large portions View all feedback.
What Caroltd doesn't like about Lobster Barn Pub & Eatery Inc:
After hearing so many good reviews about this place, I was very disappointed in our food. It was overpriced and underwhelming. We ordered seafood chowder and for $16 each we received 1 cup of soup contains 2 large chunks of potatoe and 3 small shrimp in a thick cream. Not very tasty. My husband also had lobster poutine. It was tasty. My Caesar salad with lobster was very expensive $30, and although had lots of lobste... View all feedback.
This was fabulous we only had a round of drinks and shared the lobster poutine. On the recommendation of the manager and she was right! Great flavour, very saucy (not my desire but my husband was thrilled). Highly recommend.
The Lobster Barn was a little out of our way as we finished our short time on PEI however it was well worth the detour. We hadn't planned ahead and didn't have a reservation but were welcomed by the fabulous staff and immediately give a table. Our waitress was a delight and helped us decide what to get kindly dissuading us from over-ordering which is a real risk with us! We both were delighted with our lobster rolls which as you can see were generously filled. Our lattice fries were another winner and utterly fabulous. The restaurant was absolutely charming and decorated very stylishly. My wife enjoyed herself so much she ended up buying a Lobster Barn jumper!
Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and it had such good reviews we actively sought it out in this very small town of Victoria By The Sea. Next time make a reservation! Visited midweek with family (and a surly toddler in tow). We did not have a reservation but as it was just 5pm we squeezed in at a table at the front of the restaurant with help from the hostess on duty. Things just got better from there. Our server, Maura, was exceptional. Sensing we had already had a long day, she managed to make everything easy breezy by making a few recommendations that we took her up on. We ordered the traditional lobster dinner (MP) and lobster grilled cheese (MP) as well as a local Pilsner (so tasty we found a PEI liquor store on the way home) that was very tasty. Would absolutely visit again, and look forward to doing so.
My wife and I spend 4 days on the Island at nearby Canoe Cove. We went to Victoria ny the Sea and were planning on a different restaurant. We looked at the menu here and decided it sounded good. I had tge lobster dinner special. 1 1/12 lbs of fresh steamed lobster. Served with a great potato salad and coleslaw. My wife had the fish tacos. Pan seared haddock with a pico di gaio and lime crema. Portions were generous and servers were awesome. For our last day we deciddd to go back. Today we split the waffle fry nachos. Tons of toppings and lots of cheese. I had the lobster roll with warmed melted butter...the bread always makes a lobster roll and it did. Jammed with lobster meat in a toasted soft roll...huge side salad wirh their vinegrette. My wife had the Calamari Salad. Big bowl of greens and veg and lots of tender lightly breaded calmari. We normally do not have dessert but we had to hear what they had. It sounded good but one of the cakes came with a homemade maple ice cream with bourbon candied bacon. I asked if we could just have the ice cream and they happily said yes. What a treat. The ice cream had a gelato consistency and wasn't overly sweet. The candied bacon pushed it over the top.
