I go for lunch quite regularly and this restaurant always delivers. In the price range the food cannot be beat. Everything I have ever had is done well and with attention to detail. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the street level, but is very charming once inside. Their burgers are the best I've had (9 ball burger), their soups are great and the chicken tenders are awesome. It is difficult to find a bette... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about James Joyce Bistro:
I have been coming to this restaurant with my family for years and have always enjoyed the fun atmosphere and lovely decor. However, during my recent visit, I was disappointed to find out that their bistro does not offer any gluten-free menu options, except for hummus and salad which are not considered main entrees. As someone who was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease, I was unable to eat anything on the menu. T... View all feedback.
Anybody over 25ish should probably avoid this place. It's a great spot for youngsters to hang out though.
We were excited to see the Happy Hour sign outside the restaurant and hoped to enjoy some of the appetizer specials. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find out that they weren't offering any deals due to a special function. It was confusing why they had the sign out on the sidewalk if they weren't serving Happy Hour specials.
Good food and nice cozy surroundings .Not Too big and yet good enough for the family or individual.Good food and variety.
We were searching for a restaurant and came upon this bistro. We decided to try it since we had eaten in a James Joyce in Lyon Fr. We were so pleased with our decision. The food was of very good qualityMy vegetarian pasta was delicious and my husbands black bean burger was great. The ambiance is very casual and comfortable.
Met my friend for a birthday lunch. The atmosphere was cute so we were hoping for a great little gem. We were showed a seat by a very bewildered waitress. She had the look of a deer caught in head lights. She asked for our drink order, and I ordered a gin and tonic. After having to go to the bar to confirm that they could make this drink she noted that they could. She came back with my drink and the tonic was completly flat. I told her when she came around that it was flat, and she asked if I wanted them to make another one, or if that one was fine. I reiterated again that the tonic was flat, so yes I did want another one, from a fresh bottle of tonic. I got my replaced drink and she took our food order. Then a few minutes later she came back and asked for our food order again. Then, before our food has even come she came back to see if we had enjoyed our meals. After we told her we just ordered and didn't have the food, her deer in the headlights look was getting worse. The food finally came, and it was good food, nothing special, but nothing bad either. If the waitress was training she should have had a button that said so, and perhaps some help from other servers. The service was so bad, it was funny.
