If they are Ethiopian and they are vegan, this is their best option. the place is clean (bathroom not so much,) the owners are very sweet and the buffet is very delicious. also very salty and oily. they expect that after going down they have a sore booze and they can run out injera brot and don't give them a discount or another option, it happened to us 2 out of the 3 times. I'm making Ethiopia home now.
I have been here for years thanks to the abundant vegan options. it is a serve you yourself buffet with very friendly staff. the injera is fermented and delicious and the vegan dishes are tasteful. the decor is old-fashioned, but that doesn't play a role, as eating is good. Because it's all you can eat, I'm always filled!
This is one of my favorite places to eat in victoria. we eat what is vegan on the buffet, that is in the regular about 5 items. my favorite is the spicy, red-ish lens dish. they can rise several times, so if they have a good appetit, it is also a good choice to eat here (15 dollar for the buffet or they order the vegetarian combo.) the host are friendly. the workstation of my partner had here for a year her vacation dinner and a party that was tight for the room but surely a success. remember, it is not open for lunch and not at all on Monday. By the way, if they like Ethiopian cuisine, they would like to try measurob in the 1109 mckenzie street in cook village in victoria. it is also dandy and they have a vegetarian combo.
Good customer service. we asked them if children pizza can get from close and they agreed to it. that was a great help for us, we were very uneven, so we liked to eat. but when I asked my friends to go there again, they said. eating was not fresh, the whole lentil-based material was prepared and then frozen and frozen) this can be a standard practice, but they would have done it better. for a because this was a good option, but it would have been nice to see more green/fresh veggie option
Lovely food atmosphere. Buffet with many veg options lentils, chick peas, veggies prepared with trad spices. Very nice injera as well. Only thing I miss are the garlicky collard greens that I've had at other Ethiopian/Eritrean restaurants.
