What HiddenCaviar doesn't like about La Veranda:
We stopped just for a drink one lazy afternoon and were very disappointed with the outcome. There seems to be so much promise in this venue, but the pricing is a little excessive with a pressed orange juice that amounted to not much more than one squeezrd orange costing 5 euros. The venue is tired and could do with a polish, the only thing saving it is that the service is friendly and very pleasant. View all feedback.

This is a large restaurant attached to a hotel. As such it doesn't have the most charming atmosphere. It does, however, have a lot to recommend it. For example, unlike many restaurants the service is very professional and English is spoken. We also had excellent steak and absolutely delicious veal livers. Finally the bill was exceptionally low. This is a good place to eat because of the food and it is very child friendly too.
The special of the day is usually very good and consistent. I had the opportunity to taste their sole which was fresh and perfectly cooked. Also had a delicious appetizer of smoked salmon with herbed goat cheese and salad as well as their blanquette de veau served with mixed rices which was perfect. The service is impeccable, friendly and efficient.
