Lo Scorfano Brontolone - VIAREGGIO

I had a dinner here with my boyfriend on a saturday night. No reservation is required but you can reserve if you want to especially on summer nights. The place is really simple and basic with some inside and outside seats. The service is friendly but not intrusive. Some dishes are frozen but the daily menu offers fresh fish. Good value for money.

Il lunedì è difficile trovare ristoranti aperti e siamo capitati per caso in questo locale. L'ambiente è semplice ma pulito. Il menu è molto vario e spazia tra mare e terra. Ho ordinato i tordelli allo scorpione, il loro piatto forte, con un sacco di tyubancy perché non è facile trovare un tortello fatto bene. Devo dire che era molto buono: pasta sottile e cotta al punto giusto. Anche buone le tagliatelle all'aragostella, anche se il crostaceo era leggermente sotto cottura. Ottimo anche il fritto di verdure che abbiamo mangiato dopo il primo. Come dolce il classico tiramisù con cioccolato. Il prezzo riflette ciò che abbiamo mangiato. Sicuramente torneremo al ristorante perché abbiamo mangiato bene e respirato tranquillità.

The pommes for the children were excellently done and hot too. For the adults it was nice to be able to choose from several different seafoods. The service was fast and friendly. With the exception of one of the seven meals, they were all delicious. It might be worthwhile, to have the English menu card to have checked from a native English speaker. Some translations might not be accurate. However, we enjoyed the delicious food to a reasonable price.

This restaurant does a superb value set meal at lunch and dinner time. I have eaten here on my (now) many visits to Italy. It is set right beside the coast and offers the best value meals I have seen. We booked the table as it does get very busy. For the set meal there are 2 choices. I selected the squid ink spaghetti with vongole (clams) and secondly, swordfish with a green salad. My friend had a similiar meal along with a quarter litre of red wine, a large bottle of water and one coffee. Our total bill was an incredible 21 euros. This is a place I will definitely be returning to.

Sono tornato oggi con gli amici e confermo il successo di questo ristorante. Nonostante fosse pieno, siamo stati serviti al momento giusto. Abbiamo gustato un delizioso primo piatto al ragù e come secondo ci siamo deliziati con cinghiale e pecorino con prosciutto. Il conto è stato come quello proposto all'ingresso. Il personale è stato rispettoso dello spazio.
