What swampduck doesn't like about Il Piccolo Mondo:
We popped in as we were passing through the village and needed food. The welcome was not warm except from the waiter who was great. The person who appeared to be in charge is not so charming or welcoming. You can sit out or in; outside being close to a very busy road, inside being a bit dingy and the paper tablecloths were ancient and quite grubby. However, the pizza was quick and very tasty indeed. Very kind and very kind staff. very pleasant music. excellent food quality. recommend the rolls to the pistachio.
Our first night in Sicily and this place was quite fun several items on the menu were off but we ended up having an enjoyable meal a sort of mixed antipasto. Very reasonable prices.
Piccolo mondo opens a bit early for us, and they treat us like we live here, which we have for a few months. Service is good and friendly. Pizza isn’t available until after 730, but the kitchen will fix most things earlier for us early eaters. They have a great filet with mushrooms . Appetizers are good, with a super copenata. We recommend this restaurant if you are close.
