We visited Saturday and 11th juli and had the most beautiful day. we took the garden tour that was magical and was secret garden to the secret garden. then we m... read more We visited Saturday and 11th juli and had the most beautiful day. we took the garden tour that was magical and was secret garden to the secret garden. then we moved on to the art gallery, and to see the Munch pictures close and personally was very special. the art gallery host, who explained all of us art and was very knowledgeable and helpful. eating in the restaurant was delicious, taste the natural coca cola, apfel and selleriesuppe and blueberry. it is all farm too table and tastes fresh. overall the staff could not have been more friendly. my only note. I believe in the weekend you can only see the garden through a tour. during the week they can walk around alone. dogs are not allowed. then it also costs around 565 nok for the garden tour and see the art gallery. I think that's because it costs a lot to sleep. then munchs summer house is on a separate location and another price.

One could enjoy the silence and calm, nice place to experience recreation. Unfortunately, we got a slightly negative impression of the cafe; ill prepared for the arrival of many people. Frying waffles for so many customers led to queues, and long waiting times, and the alternative was pastry and some kind of slightly dry buns, plus ice cream. A clever tip, and something that would be easier, could perhaps be pre-greased, wrapped rolls/baguettes? It would be a good alternative after a few hours in the park, especially if you have driven a long way to get there. It is not allowed to enjoy a picnic basket, and we fully understand that.
