We arrived in beautiful weather, sunny and 25˚ from Oslo. We had paid for 2 pcs. cultural ticket, NOK 565 per ticket. Beautiful and fantastic gardens and a skilled guide, five stars only. The gallery was nice. Nice pictures, nice venue, nice lighting on the pictures and the exhibition was well composed. We saw hens, geese and ducks on the farm. We got to see the turkeys and it was a little experience in itself to see the male gobbling as best he could. Empty ice freezer, empty bakery counter... The two employees were uninterested in us. Plant sales; three plants in pots. Everything else in bloom or on trays was not for sale. The inn; only two people for the guests, no cutlery, NOK 200 for a small glass of Skagen salad and two small half slices of bread. All in all, three stars, an exceptionally beautiful garden despite the fact that we paid NOK 1130 for two cultural tickets! if they raise the quality of the cafe and the garden, it could be much better.
Great place to spend a day off. Nice park with fountains, sculptures, ponds and flowers. One could enjoy the silence and calm, nice place to experience recreation. Unfortunately, we got a slightly negative impression of the cafe; ill prepared for the arrival of many people. Frying waffles for so many customers led to queues, and long waiting times, and the alternative was pastry and some kind of slightly dry buns, plus ice cream. A clever tip, and something that would be easier, could perhaps be pre-greased, wrapped rolls/baguettes? It would be a good alternative after a few hours in the park, especially if you have driven a long way to get there. It is not allowed to enjoy a picnic basket, and we fully understand that.
Nice bit wait till the snow has disappeared for a visit. Cafe had a limited service why is it so typical that when there's a limited service there's never anything savoury to eat! Visited on: Weekend Wait time: Up to 10 min Reservation recommended: No
Hidden place.... They have a nice garden around with some farm animals. Cosy coffeehouse/restaurant and a place to walk after got food or coffee and snacks.
Frame is very nice. Not necessarily a great experience for young children. It would have been more interesting for those with more animals. The cafe and surrounding area is very nice, but works very poorly on busy days. There is too little food on the shelves and waiting time for items such as waffles. It would probably have been wise to have the shop in its own premises. The experience that drags down the most is all the hostility with signs about not touching etc. and the skepticism we encountered when we were going into Havlystparken. We had already bought a ticket and were checked again. There is a very wealthy guy, Petter Olsen, who owns Ramme and Easy Park and charges NOK 150 for parking for 5-6 days. No place for people with poor means.
