I placed an online order for pickup on their opening day. I was surprised at how smoothly everything was operating for only having opened their doors 1.5 hrs prior to my arrival. What Ms Q doesn't like about Chopt Creative Salad Co.:
I was actually excited about trying this place. I've gotten chopped salads from other businesses before and really enjoyed it. I said I didn't wanted the blue cheese I came with she asked me what cheese I'd like in its place. So I picked another cheese and kept it moving. Sadly I didn't look at my receipt till I got to the office to eat it. Notice she charged for the cheese instead of it being a substitute. Which irk... View all feedback.
I placed an online order for pickup on their opening day, and I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly everything ran, considering they had only been open for about an hour and a half when I arrived. The decor is light and refreshing, giving the place a welcoming vibe. The prep line has a cafeteria-style setup, and there’s a dedicated area for online order pickups, complete with a large TV screen that indicates when your order is being prepared and when it's ready. I arrived a few minutes early, and I was delighted when my order appeared on the screen exactly when they said it would. The food was delicious, and the portion size was generous. I can't wait to try more items from their menu!
I usually don’t write reviews, but I’ve given this location multiple chances and I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, the employees here are extremely rude. I try to greet them with a smile, but they always seem like they’d rather be anywhere else. Their eye-rolling is particularly frustrating. I could overlook their attitude if they weren’t constantly out of supplies. Just this week, I visited twice, and both times they had no chicken available for the bowls—none at all. I’ve never visited this location without finding them missing some essential ingredient for a warm bowl. I understand that the pandemic has created challenges for many businesses, but it seems like this one is really struggling.
I really enjoyed my Harvest Bowl, although I opted to skip the kale and added Romaine and extra chicken instead. It was delicious, and I definitely couldn't finish the whole bowl. The only downside was that it wasn't very wheelchair accessible—at least not for my wheelchair. Thankfully, my best friend was there to help. I will definitely return, though, because I can't resist a great salad!
Great concept but a few disappointments. First I will say that the food tasted great and all of the ingredient were fresh. The menu contains a wide variety of salad choices that all sound amazing. Now for the disappointments. For our first salad choice they were out of 2 ingredients, carrots and onions. The second salad choice they were out of the dressing. The third choice they were out of avocados. I do understand the supply chain issues but maybe run to Publix? Also, the water cups are about 2 1/2 inches tall. Yes they are free but if I had to choose between ice or water in my cup I don?t mind paying a little extra for a bigger cup. The biggest disappointment was the difficulty eating a salad with a tiny flimsy plastic fork. Overall, the food and service was good but you can do better Chopt.
Hands down the worst salad I?ve ever eaten in my life. I ordered the Mexican Caesar. She dumped everything in the bowl and with a plastic spatula type tool started feverishly pounding the greens and all the ingredients together. I was shocked at first because I couldn?t believe what I was witnessing. And she didn?t stop. She was in a trance and her arms reaching higher and higher in the sky coming down like she was trying to break open rocks. When I saw she was not going to stop and I said ?Oh, that?s enough, thank you, anymore and it will be soup?. She didn?t stop! She responded with ?that?s how we do it around here?. At this point it?s so ridiculous I responded ?please stop, you?re about to turn it into soup!?. Now she?s angry putting the lid on and I ask ?Could you please add the homemade croutons in??. That was actually a selling point to me buying this salad, this and the Mexican cheese. She slapped a piece of bread on top, and said that?s what comes with it. She ringing me up being angry slamming things around, it was very uncomfortable. I wished now I would have just walked out of the store. Not to mention the floors were dirty, tables, the drink station. I took my salad home, had 2 bites and tossed it in the trash. What a waste of money. Next time I will try the Vestavia Hills store; maybe they are cleaner and won?t beat up the salad, but not the Summit location. And when I got home it was as I thought the salad would be, it was almost soup ? HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I will never go there again.
