Searched Paris for a pavement cafe that would serve me a raspberry tart with a coffee. No luck. Returned to the hotel from the Rive Gauche station and this place was my next-door neighbour. The little labels are made from chocolate. Thank you, Maison Hervet!

I felt so unpleasantly treated that I left without taking anything.. fAlso they don't take foreign debit/credit cards (wtf?! The lady that seemed to be the owner was very unpleasant. Why opening a bakery if you don't like people.. Must be the kind of places that makes money by selling overpriced below average quality products to one time coming tourists.. Avoid this place...

Right next to the Versailles train station so we stopped by to pick up some cakes for dessert later in the day after visiting the chateau. They have a wealth of options, as well as savoury choices for those looking to catch some lunch or a bite to eat. We got the tiramisu, a mango and raspberry cheesecake and a chocolate cake. Out of these three my favourite was the mango and raspberry one as it had such a great flavour and also came with a raspberry macaron. It also had a cute chocolate Maison Hervet sign on top. Service wasn't particularly friendly and quite slow-it took about five minutes before she could be bothered to come over and help me out with the cakes-but the food is top notch!

Excellent bakery. The pastries are excellent, fortunately the prices are high because too many temptations otherwise. I highly recommend birthday cakes, I have always been very satisfied
