We spent here very nice time having Ceasar salat, Fish with excellent sauce, and delicious Chicken grilled on French style-for someone it's not enough but we really enjoyed it. For the sweet end we chose Creme Brulee, which was good decision :)The atmosphere of the restaurant is very friendly and open. View all feedback.
What Alfred H doesn't like about Lyautey:
Attracted by the nice spot (shadowy place), it turned out quickly that it was a bad choice. No prices are indicated, neither at the window nor at the tables. Soft drinks are served per glass, so impossible to see what's really inside. And with the payment of the check, the waiter has tried to cheat by rounding up the bill to the closest 10 Euro. Quite remarkable, indeed. When we disagreed we were even insulted by the... View all feedback.
Lovely stop in Versailles. Excellent service, drinks and food. We had a platter with ham, cheese, pickle, and two kinds of sausage. The baguette was fresh and delicious.
Service was abysmally slow. I saw that others had also complained. 15 minutes before anyone came to the table, and so my husband got a menu from inside as the IPhone menu would not come up. The waiter made a comment that he could tell we were not happy because he didn’t rush. That set the tone. The food was actually pretty good- a hamburger and a duck breast sandwich and fries, We asked twice (2 other waiters as we never saw our waiter again after he took our order) for our bill. Finally we husband went inside and paid at the bar. The other waiters were pleasant and obviously embarrassed by their colleague. This was not a gourmet meal. And it was obvious we were on our way as we had our luggage with us. It was our only encounter in France with the stereotypical snooty French waiter. He was rude and unprofessional. Too bad.
I must be the worst person ever for picking food choices in France. The service of this place was pretty dire. Slow and the guys service didn't seem to know who ordered what and who asked for their bill. We ordered the quiche, it wasn't great. Few tables around us had service issues as well. I see a few other reviewers had a similar experience. Avoid. It would be nice to find a decent place we ate at in France tbh.

Croissant here is nicely done with mild buttery and flaky touch to it's surface perfected with very soft filling dough within. Stewed beef done medium and juicy, fantastic. From train station to Versailles palace, you would probably topping twice here. Good choice
