I had a great experience at this restaurant, and I wouldn't hesitate to return if I'm ever in town again. At first glance, the outside of the building appeared old and uninviting, which made me reluctant to give it a try. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, which really uplifted my mood. Great food and atmosphere, it is a small restaurant, but it feels very cozy! I had the classic cheeseburgers and shoe potatoes and they were really good. I would recommend getting the garlic potatoes as a page if you like garlic.
On The Bourbon Trail (from Indiana … tried based on reviews here. Super Awesome local place in Versailles (KY that is! . We literally watched the food coming out of the kitchen kept changing our minds! Great service and atmosphere: tables, rustic lighting, glass and flatware! Easily visible HD TVs in each corner. Update: 2nd visit two years later… still awesome a must stop on the Bourbon Trail!! Great cocktails!
This was, without hyperbole, one of the finest meals I've ever had. I can't wait to get back there! I had the shrimp and grits and added crab Mac cheese. It was incredible! The chef came out after I sent compliments and the serve staff was the perfect blend of hospitable and available. My wife got the special, mahi mahi. The building is unassuming but they lack nothing by way of food. Go there and go often!
Really great food but... The server and manger both had the it 's a young couple, they don 't matter Attitude. Took care of other tables first even though we were sat first. Manger/chef asked other tables how their meal was but never ours, but still great food.
Good food, just a bit pricey. Not usually too busy when I've been here. Here during a KY basketball game, but the crowds go to VBC. Great service as well, but they no longer carry their beer cheese.
