The tagliatelle was very nice but I wasn’t a big fan of the gnocchi or rice. The restaurant itself is very nice, small and cosy. Would be nice for a date night. View all feedback.
I love this restaurant! I have visited Verona multiple times and I never miss eating at Dogana Vecia as often as I can. Everything on the menu is fantastic and incredibly flavorful. You can simply close your eyes and point at the menu and you won 't be disappointed with what will be presented before you. This is a small family-run osteria in the old section of Verona, about 1 minute 's walk from San Fermo and adjacent to the Verona Canoe Club. There are a few seats outside and a couple on the street, so you might consider making a reservation. Most tourists haven 't discovered this, so it is very authentic and the owners speak little English, but are very friendly. Very reasonably priced and the food quality is excellent. This is a do not miss when visiting Verona.
Wow, what a relief, after a week in the city, eating at various restaurants, including Michelin rated, this was the best, casual, friendly, home comfort meal. Nice wine, simple menu, well executed. And really liked the little pastry deserts. Great value. Certainly recommend.
Fantastic dinner, fantastic people and fantastic place! For a dinner with excellent food and a wonderful crowd:
