Maratonda-craft Beer Pub - VERONA

Arrived at the pub about 30 minutes after opening and it was empty but quickly filled up within an hour. Unfortunately there were only 2 beers on tap (Helles/IPA 5 euro each) but there were some others in a fridge. Tarallini were offered as bar snacks for free. Lots of tabletop games available to play while you drank. Pet and child friendly.

Having seen this place when we visited Castle San Pietro, we walked over in the evening when it was open. A small entrance leads to a large bar with plenty of seating. There were only 5 draft beers to choose from when we visited, which was a shame, but what we had we enjoyed. Worth the walk for a good beer in a quieter less tourist packed place!!

This is a simple, minimalist bar where beer is the focus: usually up to ten options (ales, porters, stouts, sour beers and more) on both tap and hand pump, expertly selected, kept and explained by Alice in Beerland (look up at the wall art for references). Good value for money and usually a few snack or small plate options to go alongside. No bells or whistles just great beer.

Finally craft beer pub in Verona! You always have about 10 beers on tap, so everyone should find something for themselves. It is close to the city centre, a 1-minute walk from Ponte Pietra.
