We passed this cake shop today on our trip to Verona and could not resist . We did order the cakes without knowing the price but we were pleasantly surprised with our bill . The cakes were gorgeous and the cappuccino great . We had a nice relaxing time and enjoyed it so much we plan to go again on Wednesday before our flight home . View all feedback.
What Miriana Galli doesn't like about Iginio Massari:
courteous and professional service, mediocre display of the showcase. great tiramisù really exceptional, disappointing the charlotte. we were also for breakfast and unfortunately we did not find the husbands (they were 9 and we were quickly. ) good and well-leavened however croissant/brioche although I prefer the typical Roman with mix of pastry. discreet pastry cream. Excellent service and beautiful display of cakes, sweets and other treats visited twice in our 7 night trip to Verona in July 2023 bonus was the baristas and sales assistants spoke English the manager even spent a few minutes with us having a chat. I will treasure the phot I took of the display I have added a few inches even looking at the photo!!
We stopped for our adopted Swedish tradition of Fika (coffee cake) and contrary to the other reviews had no problems with the service at all. I had their interpretation of Sachertorte Sacher Innovitiva and it was delicious and their coffees were excellent. The only issue was at payment time as their Point of Sale system had frozen throughout the store, however that was not their fault and I decided to not tell them that I work in IT… The quality of their cakes and confectionery is definitely first class and with that in mind, 17 Euros for two cakes and two coffees didn’t seem that bad in the current world of high inflation everywhere.
We had breakfast here and it was great. The pastries are very fresh and flavorful, and the coffee is very good. It is very weird for us to drink luke warm coffee, but that is how it is in Italy. We wish they served matcha or chai lattes for people who can’t have caffeine, but they don’t. The service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We will look for this brand when we go to Milan next.
We are so lucky to come across by chance in this place- absolutely amazing desserts. We had croissants, filled with pistachio and yellow cream, tart taten their vision blowing our mind. The staff was very nice, professional and helpful.
Nothing else to say if we do not praise the great quality of the master that can certainly not be cheap, but when we happen we do not miss the opportunity to try the excellent preparations that before the goto satisfy the eyes in an absolute way. Go and try.
