Service was great. You get a waiter and also a wine connoisseur, the wine list is brought on a tablet with over 100 pages worth of wines. You must make a reservation and you are on a timed schedule because they are very popular, but don't worry you still have plenty of time to eat, drink, and talk. Food was amazing, but you also pay the price for it. Would def reccomend trying. View all feedback.
Verona is an ideal city to visit in a weekend. It is a very well connected city with Spain, since it has direct flights with Madrid, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca. In fact, our visit to Verona was precisely a weekend, in which we also took the opportunity to take a trip to Venice. Although they had spoken very well of her, the truth is that we find one of the most attractive, beautiful and interesting cities in Italy. We only stayed to explore the Lake di Garda, located about 30 kilometres west of the city, so we have the perfect excuse to come back soon! How in each and every one of our visits to Italy, one of our main objectives was to discover the indigenous cuisine of the place, as we are true in love with Italian gastronomy. The veronese kitchen is characterized by its opulence and is markedly differentiated from that of the mountainous zones called “poor” and still very widespread, which is distinguished by the use of the polenta, a cereal originating from the North of Italy present in almost all its recipes. The variety of fish dishes that can be found in the typical recipe of the traditional Verona cuisine is due to its proximity to Lake di Garda. However, the most typical dishes of the veroness cuisine are made from meat stews accompanied by typical sauces such as the “Peará” or the “Peverada” made, to great features, based on broth, spices, butter and breadcrumbs. As far as the first dishes are concerned, the “Bigoli” thick spaghetti of hard grain and the “Gnocchi di San Zeno”, which are prepared in Carnival and served accompanied by a stew of horse meat “spezzatino di cavallo”. Thus, some of the first most outstanding dishes are: “bigoli con le agole”, “gnocchi di patate”, “pasta e fagioli”, “risotto al radicchio”, “risotto col tastasal” or “tagliatelle con frattaglie di gallo”. Among the second dishes, it is possible to differentiate between meat “lesso and peará” and fish “alborelle al forno”, “sardele in saor”, “tinca alle erbe”, “tinca in umido con piselli”. In terms of sweets, it is essential to taste the “Pandoro di Verona”, a typical Christmas cake. The recipes of all these dishes are available in '[hidden link]. 'Just get to our hotel, we started a lively conversation with one of the receptionists, which when we saw our interest in local gastronomy did not hesitate to recommend a visit to the Antica Bottega del Vino. It is the only place in Verona with the rating of historical location and its wine menu is among the top 10 of all the restaurants in Italy. The atmosphere of the local is the typical historical cafes, with a very careful decoration. Still, the bar and the exhibitor of typical cheeses and sausages located at the entrance of the premises have a very attractive modern design. Staff treatment is sensational and very professional. The local offer is designed so much for those customers who want to have a glass of wine accompanied by an incoming anti-past, in Italian how for those who want to taste a full menu of the best venetous dishes. The dishes they offer for their daily menu allow a fascinating tour of the cuisine and typical veroneses and the rest of the region of the Veneto. We chose to stay in the bar and try some side dishes with elbow with other customers, letting us advise the waitress on which dishes and white wines we should taste. So it was that we finished testing a selezione di salumi veneti selection of sausages vénetos , a selezione di formaggi veneti selection of venetos cheeses and baccalà buttecato with crostini di pollnta cod with polenta . And all this watered with a selection of white wines simply amazing! So yes, we recommend you a visit to the Antica Bottega del Vino in your visit to Verona, as it is one of those places that leaves trace.
You cannot describe this place, you have to see it with your own eyes. Very friendly staff, large selection of Italian wines. Don't miss it when you visit Verona.

Handsome enoteca that brings warmth to gatherings with friends and family. Enormous selection of wines both local and outside. The interior is gorgeous bottles of vintage bottles and wine offerings and with rich wood shelving and furnishings throughout. Alongside our glasses of wine we were offered lovely paninini with various charcuterie. For dinner we all enjoyed splendidly prepared Cacio e Pepe--perfect for a rainy evening. Can't wait to return!
