If you want a restaurant that serves baked potatoes twice the size of their walleye, then this is the place for you. The portion of walleye was not very big, they should have at least given half a fillet. The price for the dish was $17. The hostess and server were excellent. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Pirates Den:
The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly, although they seemed understaffed and the two girls at the front were very busy. We tried to order dessert but were informed that the two options we wanted were unavailable. The prices were a bit high considering the portion size and quality of the food. The baked potato was well-cooked, but the sweet mix seemed to be from a can and lacked flavor. View all feedback.
Eating was decent, service was not. it took more than 15 minutes after sitting before the waitress asked what we wanted to drink or take our order. he's at 7 and doesn't get our food until 8:20. I understand it was pretty busy, but that's ridiculous. was basically ignored for most visits, stopped to ask twice, didn't even get the refill we asked for the second time.
If you like your baked potato twice as big as your walleye filet then this is your place. Food tasted good. There just wasn’t much of it. They should say half a walleye filet1 walleye finger tops) $17. Hostess and server were fabulous.
Love this place!! I live in Baxter, and drive to work at Topls and More 7 days a week. I bypass all other gas stations on my trek to Verndale to enjoy the mini quick trip like setting in Verndale.
Wonderful service and excellent food! Always a great experience to dine here!
Good food but doesn't stay open late enough! We come every year for the horse sale and we have to cross our fingers the kitchen will still serve food by the time it's over.
