What Mark S doesn't like about Chez Francois Vermilion:
On a positive note, the appetizers, including lobster ravioli and corn bisque, were flavorful and quite satisfying. However, the main courses fell short; the sea bass was dry and tough, while the special fish lacked flavor, tasting overwhelmingly “fishy.” The dessert, a molten chocolate cake, was a highlight—rich and not overly sweet.

Comfortable elegance... yes, you have to wear a jacket (tie optional), but the snootiness ends there. chez has earned its stars through delicious food and first class service. expect to have at least $150 for a regular non-event dinner for two (or more depending on alcohol extras and congratulate), but it is worth it. the raised rustic location on the vermilion river adds only the experience!
The best of all time! eating is so good. the lamb was as good as it gets.
Not an everyday place, but I can’t think of a better special occasion destination. If this place was in NY or California it would be a two-star. Not an exaggeration
Chez Francois is absolutely one of our favorite places for a really special occasion. The food is amazing and the service is even better. Matt and his crew are the bomb!
Wonderful as always! good quality ingredients and preparation. the personal is phenomenal. matt and john, you make a fabulous job as always. we are very grateful that we have such an excellent restaurant in our opposite!
