Anna's Kitchen - Vereeniging

This is a lovely spot in Vereeniging to enjoy a light snack and a cup of coffee.

We had a great dining experience with the family. The tweens were quite hungry, so I forgot to take photos of the food.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Good food.Good presentation.Reasonable price (being a retiree, poses some challenges).

We had made a reservation prior to our visit. Upon arrival, we inquired whether the rye bread was 100% rye, and were assured that it was. However, when the bread was served, its color didn’t seem quite right. We asked again if it was indeed 100% rye, and the waiter went to check with the baker, who confirmed that it was NOT 100% rye. This is the second time we’ve encountered this issue with their rye bread, suggesting that the staff may not be fully knowledgeable about their products. We were seated at Table No. 1, and during a previous visit, I had mentioned to the manager that there was a dead mosquito splattered on the wall next to the painting. It seems it has become part of the decor, as the wall still hasn’t been cleaned since then.

There is a quality feel about this place. We really enjoyed it. Thank you.
