It was jazz live music evening so even... read more We were really looking forward to our last dinner in Barolo and it was 200 meters from our agriturismo; so really local. It was jazz live music evening so even better! What did not disappoint was the surroundings, good weather and charming but slow service (15 minutes to get a bottle of wine served). The food was really mixed. Rabbit, ragu and ravioli were good but bread, cheese and mixed started still had some distance to go to meet the local standards. The wine menu was very limited (to the house’s own production) which was disappointing.

We walked into a very lovely but unpretentious dining room where it seemed that mostly local families were enjoying a Sunday dinner. The menu featured both seasonal and traditional dishes and everything we had was fantastic. The staff were extremely warm and helpful and the owner herself showed us around the place after we ate. This turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of our trip.

This was our first meal of our trip, and it was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was gorgeous, an unbelievably beautiful restaurant. The food was extremely creative, but was still prepared in a way that was respectful to traditional Piemontese cuisine. Presentations were gorgeous, and the taste was incredible. The wine list featured an elaborate lineup of all of Castello di Verduno's wines going back the last 10 years or so. Wines were priced very affordable and the by the glass selection was also extremely extensive. The staff was extremely kind and made our meal even more enjoyable. We stood in Verduno for a little over 1 week, and this was definitely one of our favorite meals of our trip. We will definitely be back very soon. Highly recommend this restaurant! What a perfect dinner from beginning to end.
