It has been years since we have been eating from Umi Sushi, minimum twice a week.The quality is excellent and NOT comparable to the one across the street.The restaurant may need some updating but it is always VERY clean and the service is very good.I often go for take outs and eat in the restaurant once a week. What User doesn't like about Umi Sushi:
The waitress was very friendly but admittedly overwhelmed. Service was very slow but fortunately we were in no hurry. The food was pretty good. I'd go back but only if in the area.The selection of wine by the glass was very poor. Only two choices of red. View all feedback.
This restaurant is a great spot for a weekday lunch. The poke bowls are delicious and the sushi is also very good, served in a creative boat presentation. The atmosphere was a bit quiet when we visited on a Sunday night, but I imagine it would be much livelier during the week.
This restaurant was not the worst, but definitely not the best. The service did not meet my standards - no water or wine was served before the food, and my appetizer and main course arrived at the same time. The Nestle sushi pizza was good, but the salmon crisp poke bowl lacked flavor and the rice was overly sticky.
The sushi we had was incredibly fresh and delicious! Our waiter was bilingual and very friendly and polite. They offer a great selection of vegetarian options. The restaurant is also kid-friendly and has a large parking lot available.
The best sushi on ile des soeurs , sushi sashimi combo is always fresh and the taste is really good. A bit expensive but you get what you pay for. Service is ridiculous tho , got a gift card for xmas and a manager didn't want to let me use it ??? Lol
Disappointing experience. We had the mixed platter and some of the fish in the sushis tasted funny. Nothing special. Would not order again
