Blackstrap BBQ - Verdun

Small place, once you walk in the menu is on the wall and you would place your order, pick a seat and they will bring your order. I got the burnt end poutine and wowzerssssss, it was so tasty! The green beans and the baked beans were just as amazing. The place is busy and has a patio outside as well. Thanks for a great experience.

A cool casual place with great staff! And they serve fantastic meat. We loved it! This is definitely a place to visit

On July 29, we went to the blackstrap bbq in verdun. What a disappointment. our choices, a smoked turkey sandwich with cabbage salad and a brisket dish with poutine. The sandwich was fade. the brisket, the meat was tender but had too much fat. the poutine (to be avoided) seemed to have been made with the remaining ones. The service was correct. The place was not at its best cleanliness. So we won't go back.

On the reccommendation of our rafting guide we tried out the local smoked meat restaurant. We had the pulled pork sandwiches and ribs. They were excellent. Great price and great food. It is self service. Order at the counter and the bring the food right out. They also had a good selection of sauces.

A great restaurant. Excellent smoked brisket. Very juicy, with really tasty fries. I recommended the spicy sauce. The Sunday 5pm dinner time was quiet and we were served immediately.
