I was with my family at this restaurant. I spoke only some basic italian,the waiter tried to fool me into ordering some expensive menus at first, though we wanted only a pizza! When he came back with the food, he brought things that I did not order (risotto) and charged me for it. A second thing, the quality of the sea food is very poor, it did not taste fresh. What do you mean? Every time we get in, it seems to be home. You're welcomed as if you're a family. the sympathy and kindness of the staff do not find it anywhere! the place as usual is clean, and the rules of anti-vines fully respected. Tonight we ate fish and portions so abundant to eat in two !!! all great, as usual I am boys never mind! strange recommended to all if you want to eat excellent fish, at a reasonable price and come welcomed as in family

Having driven past Vercelli many times, we decided to stop here on the first night of our holiday. Il Pescatore was the first restaurant on our list (proximity) that was open and would not usually be our first choice of environment TV screen in the bar/restaurant, people queueing for take out pizzas but the menu looked interesting (spaghetti with mussels and asparagus) so we decided to give it a go. What a find! The warmest of welcomes, great service, enormous portions of simple, hearty food and light, fizzy but very drinkable wine on tap, all for the grand sum of 30 Euros. Not just a great meal, but a very enjoyable experience and a memorable start to our holiday.
