The a... read more Third time in this restaurant, and as always we came out delighted by the delicious and very original dishes. Surely the most inspired cuisine in Verbier. The ambiance definitively also makes the difference, with warm and yet modern dining room and a very attentive service despite we came on a quite intense evening. We asked the advice of the wine waiter for food and wine pairing, his selection was inexpected and just amazing. Already waiting to come back during summer season !

Unfortunately we just wante... read more The food was exquisite- well prepared, innovative, well presented. I'd go back for an anniversary dinner or birthday dinner anytime. Unfortunately we just wanted dinner (not fine dining) but verbier had just opened for the summer season and not too many places were open yet. But more unfortunately the restaurant had not received its wine shipment and the CHEAPEST wine on the menu was 65 Swiss francs. (We live in Italy so that's Super Tuscan pricing.) We had a nice bottle in our hotel but the restaurant corkage fee was (gasp) 70 francs. The owner was accommodating and offered to reduce the fee to 50 francs but "no vale la pena ". If you're up for fine dining that goes beyond fondue and Italian places- highly recommended.

But apart for that the eve... read more We celebrated with some friends the end of our stay in Verbier. The night was very busy and service was sometimes slightly stretched. But apart for that the evening was an immense pleasure: truffle dishes; good meat; great pastas; innovative flavours. Wines on offer vary from mid priced to expensive but when looking in details one can find gems at reasonable levels. Good luck on your hunt :-)

While you can never with 100% certainty trace the source of a food poisoning, five of us had dinner at La Cordee and had violent intestinal reactions post meal.... read more While you can never with 100% certainty trace the source of a food poisoning, five of us had dinner at La Cordee and had violent intestinal reactions post meal. The five of us did not eat together before nor afterward. We had no other eating in common. We are quite confident that the poisoning was from La Cordee. We suspect it came from a bad truffle shaved onto our shared truffle pasta. It could also be that the poisoning was from poor sanitary conditions of a La Cordee worker. Regardless -- We understand that food poisonings can happen, but what should never happen is that the restaurant dismisses the problem as opposed to working to remedy a possible food or sanitary problem. Additionally, La Cordee did a terrible job of appeasing their sick clients. All they offered as recompense was for us to return to the restaurant to pay for another very expensive meal where La Cordee would only offer a glass of champagne to each of us who got sick. Food poisoning is one problem, but not taking the situation seriously from a sanitary perspective or client perspective was completely unacceptable. STAY AWAY.

Another the chef was so unpleasant with his boy. except them, the restaurant is warm atmosphere even if the ground is full of dirty mark. the worst service I never had.
