Contribute FeedbackPositive points: a simple menu with elaborate dishes (egg poached at 62 degrees with summer truffle, etc. .. we can feel the attention of chef Danilo in his kitchen. Pricy but moderate for the quality. You eat under the colonnades bordering a meticulous garden, with a splendid view on the lake. the points to work: service, although the staff is courteous and present, it lacks attention. examples: they should not propose at a table dishes that are not on the menu or give them special attention for the aperitive without making the same offer to other customers. Some table lacked salt and pepper, olive oil for the bread..some dont. Some plates need a spoon and you have to ask for it.. Of course these are details. My point is, and i heard the director talking about it this evening, the hotel aims to be more than a 4 star. For that, every customer need to feel he is specially treated, certainly not less that the table besides. All is all in the details. That being said, I’ll continue having diner here, to my opinion, it is the best place for that is Verbania.
We had the duck and the veal and both were really good. The veal was tender as butter- amazing! As desert we had the tiramisu (very nice alternative to the classical tiramisu you know) and the chocolate triology. Both were very delicious. Really nice atmosphere in the restaurant with a great view sitting outside on the terrace looking at the Lago. Service was excellent, very attentive and accommodating!
Sehr feine und moderne italienische Küche mit einem ausgezeichneten Service. Weinkarte etwas italienlastig, was aber auch ok ist. Ob man draussen esen kann?? Das Wetter war bei unseren Besuch nicht ideal, aber es wäre wünschenswert, dass man bei guten Bedingungen rausgehen könnte zum dinieren.
