Mariscos Tano - Veracruz

According to the previous reviews, I must say that in most of them there is something truth, positive or negative. In our experience, the owner was a real character. There was also a harp and a small guitar game, and he sang the songs in a strong opera voice. He gave up our pathetic Spanish, gave advice on what to order. As you say, this is a real Mexican restaurant. Simple furniture, older furnishings. Not oriented to the tourist trade as in the Zocolo, but of course, they still ask you to come. Enjoy the food, the music and observe many families that climb down.

The seafood is really nothing special, just an ordinary Mexican seafood restaurant for the locals with a strong stomach! Since my adventure last year to eat a Camarones cocktail in a restaurant on the Zócalo, I didn't want to make the same experience once...as: I couldn't leave the hotel room for two days because of the revenge of Montezumas. Local people I talked to later told me that I shouldn't eat such food in a restaurant on the Zócalo... Because of the good evaluation of the restaurant, I visited this restaurant three times. Yesterday I wanted to try and order Camarones con arroz . I thought as seafood then in Veracruz and not in Mexico City. Three hours after dinner, Montezuma started his revenge again, it took only two hours, everything came on both channels... Result: Eat only fried fish... and I would say that this applies to all restaurants on the coast, be better safe than it does and ruin part of your vacation!

The food was decent, but the experience of my wife there was ruined when she saw that our waiter prepared another diner's shrimp tail with his bare hands to put the shrimps in the glass.

Precios muy accesibles... pero el sabor... excelente... perscado frito... pedimos arroz con pulpo (que no esta en el menu) y estaba excelente.... y si pueden prueben los calamares rellenos...

Fuimos a comer a estos mariscos, ya que miramos que desde 1967 estan abiertos, asi que pensamos que serian una delicia, y pues no fue nada de otro mundo, no tenian un buen sabor, asi que fue normal la experiencia
