The boss/owner/chef is very easygoing. Nothings a bother. We had bread, olives, 3 pizzas and a steak 3 large beers, glass of wine and soft drinks came to €50. Really good thin crispy bases on the pizzas. If you have kids there is a little public play ground right beside it and kids played there for a while which was great. Restaurant is beside Iceland. Finished our shopping in the nearby Iceland supermarket, walked around the corner to a quiet square and went into this restaurant/bar for menu del dia lunch (although tapas are available, platos combinados, a la carte and pizzas). th waitress spoke a little English for those who needed it, Our meal consisted of fresh salad with bread and a very garlicy alioli, choice of starter, OH chose spag bol while I had Chicken and rice. Spag Bol was very tasty and the chicken and rice was good and creamy. For my maib course I chose grilled salmon with chips (although I could have had salad), other choices were sardines or tuna. While OH chose lomo other choice was Secreto. For pudding OH had homemade rice pudding with cinnamon, and I chose the Contessa icecream Bill was 23 euro which included 2 glasses of white wine which was cold and very tasty, 1coffee and 1 clara (shandy) Service was good and dining room was separate from the bar. There was an outside terrace with a nearby childrens play area Next time we go for a big shop in Vera, we will visit again.
Very good food! Homemade pizzas made on a thin base. Delicious! The pizzas a big and 2 could share though they say they are for 1 person. Very warm welcome even though no english spoken. Would recommend. Reasonably priced.
We were going to Iceland which is next door to this restaurant, as it was lunchtime we thought we would try it. We parked the car by iceland and walked the 20yds up the pavement turned left through the arch and at the bottom of a short lane was the casa. We walked into a small bar and then right into a small but very spanish dining area. There was only 8 tables visible, but set out smartly with white table cloths A very pleasant waiter came and took the order, for me mushrooms and eggs, followed by lomo and chips. Elaine had gaspacho, followed by salmon. We then both had fruit and coffee con leche. The food was set to impress not to feed up, for example elaines salmon came with six chips.. In an area with so many english residents he will have to up his portions, also the price was 15 euros, mabe thats why there was only us eating

I had my birthday lunch here at Casa de la Vega. I had the set lunch which was very tasty and good value for money. Would definitely go back
