So this september 2022... read more A year ago the pizzaiola of Allo Spiedo produced the best pizza I ever had. This was the pizza Rustica with Sauris ham and local cheese. So this september 2022 I stepped onto the porch with the outdoor tables of Allo Spiedo with high expectations and ordered of course a pizza Rustica. No anxiety of failure was necessary. The pizza was as tasty as last year. As Allo Spiedo is located at the SS13 main thoroughfare, close to the top tourist attraction of the historic center of Venzone, it can be very busy with groups of cyclists or motor bikers, especially round lunch time. But I must compliment the staff with their efficient and friendly service, even when large groups of tourists on electric bicycles descend on the restaurant. The individual guests never get lost in the crowd.

About a ye... read more This restaurant, just outside Venzone on the main route SS13 has known a sequence of owners, since we started our holidays in this area 30 years ago. About a year or two ago, there was another change of of owner, the new owner calling the restaurant Allo Spiedo. We thought it was time to test this new venue. I must say, we were not disappointed. The outdoor seating area and free parking hadn't changed of course, but the starter, consisting of local meats and cheeses was very good, the pizza was very tasty, the service of the staff professional and the bill was reasonable. Restaurant Allo Spiedo is to be recommended. I hope the new owner will be there for a long time.

Menu is not great. Focus is on pizza and when other things are being served to people, you are not allowed to get them. Unfortunately we went to Venzone on a Monday in July and other places were closed either because it was Monday or July. Go to the next small town or the bar in the main square and have a sandwich. Prices do not match the food.
