Good food and ocean view! The price is very fair considering the portions and location/view. The asian waitress is very good at what she does and the food is superb. View all feedback.
What Vitours doesn't like about Cliff House Inn And Shoals:
1 Normal if you have to wait for 30 45 to get a table without a reservation. 2 still fine if waiter/waitress take some time to take your order, but is not acceptable to see waitress to get orders on tables with new customers that arrive after you, so after waiting 15 more minutes and still not able to place an order, I decide it to leave. 3 the only nice people were the busboys. for my personal opinion I will avoid this restaurant. Thank you for reading.
We celebrated my partner's birthday at a beautiful restaurant. The mussel dish was absolutely delicious.
Great food with a beautiful sea view! The prices are quite reasonable given the portion sizes and the location. The Asian waitress is very skilled at her job, and the overall dining experience is excellent.
Our room, number 6, was literally right next to the check-in area. The restaurant is on the ground floor, with rooms on the first and second floors. When we entered our room, the carpet seemed quite dirty, and we had to just overlook it. We had a king-sized bed, but there was no air conditioning. Instead, we relied on the ocean breeze through the open windows, which made it somewhat uncomfortable since the windows lacked proper screens. We felt a bit uneasy about passersby, but the sound of the waves crashing outside was beautiful. As for the restaurant, it was decent. I ordered the scallops over risotto, but they tasted somewhat burnt, possibly from cooking with garlic. I tried to enjoy it as much as I could. My plate was around $42, while my friend's lamb ribs were in the $40 range. The fried calamari was fine, especially with the lemon, but the aioli sauce was just okay. Dinner was pleasant, especially while watching the sunset, although I couldn't see it clearly because it was too far west for a good view. The waitstaff mentioned that the pool was heated, but I didn't get a chance to check it out, and the water didn’t look particularly clean. Overall, the room was passable, just barely satisfactory. It served its purpose for enjoying the views, and the prices were reasonable. Would I come back again? I’m not sure.
Scenic, nice staff. Rooms need better beds. Awesome pool and tide pools. Beautiful views and delicious food. Bring snacks
Absolutely one of the worst places I've stayed! Property is old tired, but more importantly not clean, and seems seedy. My husband's nightstand was sticky; carpet was gross; bed was rickety. Had a horrible night's sleep as there no a/c, and it's right on the highway. Between traffic and construction it was noisy as hell if windows were open, and had to because it was too warm otherwise. Thank God we only booked one night! Would have gone elsewhere but we arrived on the later side and hotel is out there by itself. The only upside is the ocean is beautiful, but you can do much better.
