The food was just excellent. We had fish and chips, Krakow's sausages with potatoes and vegetables, potato pancakes and a mixture of snacks (Calamari rings, onion rings, chicken nuggets and rye bread with garlic). They also brew their own beer trying a couple, was really good quality beer storage was excellent, Pilsner was good, but it is not kind of beer. Taken the dark to try at home in a bottle. What User doesn't like about Ventspils Alus Darītava Courlander:
3 table's busy and bartender are telling that we need to wait only snacks for 1 hour and I'm not talking about main dishes, it would be ok, but after an hour they are telling us that we need to wait 1 hour more, so like i understand they are interested only to sell craft beer and some other drinks.

Delicious food, great service, dog-friendly (we visited with two dogs) they have the dog themselves. Fresh and tasty food 5/5 portions are a little too big, so keep in order (two of us divided soup, Calamari rings, fish and chips and herring and we couldn't finish) Good prices(29.5 eur for food, 1 beer and 2 ciders) Try Calamari rings! Local beer brew was also very good. Totally beautiful experience. Must visit

Great selection of beer all brewed on site. Really nice beer garden also. Would recommend.

Great place, brilliant beer, service great. Was with Latvian speaker who ordered in latviski but staff were young so probably spoke English. Got the fries and came with ketchup, cornichons, cucumber and yellow tomatoes! Crinkle cut and cooked perfectly. Nice outdoor seating in relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended especially their dark beer

Good local brewery. A lot of meat and fish dishes. Reasonable prices. Potatoe dishes super tasty, but cucumbers were a bit dry. The owner was bery welcoming.
