What Dawn Marie doesn't like about The Old Salty Dog Venice:
Our server was great! The food presentation was good, but the food lacked flavor. I had the Maui Wow Wee Burger and fries, and both had no flavor. My husband had the Clam Chowder and the Hot Turkey Sandwich. He said the sandwich was cold, and there were 2 thin slices of turkey, and the Clam Chowder was just ok. View all feedback.
We dined there for the past two evenings and were fortunate to have the same server, Hannah, both times. She did an excellent job on each occasion—very efficient, friendly, and attentive to detail.
Service and atmosphere were wonderful. Loved that we were able to bring our dog and sit outside on the covered deck. All the employees were friendly and kind. The food was good but not exceptional-hence the four stars. But definitely a place worth checking out.
This is a nice restaurant with great views of the marina.
Very laid back, friendly serving staff. Hanna J was awesome, her recommendations were top notch. She’s super friendly and funny. The food came out quickly, and it was excellent. The restaurant is right on the marina, so the outdoor seating is excellent. I highly recommend everyone comes down and visit.
Food was OK. Crab dip was very flavorful. Lunch was typical fried seafood. Portions were pretty large. Ordered specialty drinks. They were huge. Wanted to check out the souvenir shop but didn't have time due to the server losing my credit card for 30 minutes. Maybe next time.
