Cool place, great for people watching. It 's a little rough 'n ' ready but that 's half the charm, food was pretty reasonable, good beer selection, great music and service was ok. Good place to come and watch people as it 's permanently busy. View all feedback.

I have never experienced this bad service!! At first they didn't get the order. We had to call them ourselves, then Drunk-Server brought us very dirty dusty plate. I should have taken a picture, and she didn't feel sorry. I can't imagine how it's in the kitchen. Never back there! View all feedback.
I love this place! The crispy cods are yo dying. I'll go at least once a week. Always good moods, music and good service. Sunset time is magical
Just order a large dinner order from the dining window. When told about a 16-year-old house front, I can't sit in front and enjoy. After 40 years of living in Marina Del Rey, it is this stupid service that places like The Whaler doomt. Not happy whaler makes it better!
DONT GO !!!! RIP OFF tourist trap place overpriced overhyped was there sunday will NEVER go back $15 for guacamole chips !!! $18 for grilled chicken sandwich without fries or a side !!!! even the beers we had were not cold spent $65 for 2 pacificos 2 chicken sandwiches were still hungry so walked over to Mercede restaurant bar next door and had an amazing time. had great food (trufflle fries) and a banana mojito which was amazing...
Used to be a fun bar, but nobody goes anymore and the bouncers are so bored they harass the customers coming in. ive seen this on multiple occasions and its made me and my friends uncomfortable. its literally three creepy guys just leaning over and bothering every single person. super weird. never going back also its close the the beach but you would never know it. zero beach vibe. the whole area of venice/ marina is garbage. mexican place down the road is good tho
This place used to be awesome but I came here on a Sunday afternoon and there's nothing but aggressive security guards especially the big female at the door staring people down and Serna down as they go up the steps so uncomfortable I never want to come back change the security guards and their aggressiveness and make it more pleasant like it used to be I'm specifically talking about the girl with the glasses in the braids yeah that one
