I had some delicious seafood at On the Half-Shell. They had the best prices and the food was great. I tried the red fish and seafood gumbo, which was amazing. The waitress was friendly and had a good time chatting with me and my family. On Tuesdays, they offered all you can eat options and my brother loved the fried shrimp. We will definitely be going back. View all feedback.

We chose to meet at this restaurant because it was a convenient middle point for us. Since they do not take reservations, we used their call-ahead process. Unfortunately, it didn't make a difference and we ended up waiting for a table for half an hour. I ordered the copia oscar, which was not too pricey for a fish dish, but the amount of crab meat on top was disappointingly minimal. I would have been willing to pay more for a higher quality meal.

We waited for the winter season never in the position, after hearing about the oysters and mush and delicious food. tonight we moved to half an empty place and restaurant. we were so glad to come in. there were 7 empty tables in the dining room, but she couldn't stand us, although 4 were empty. she said we had to sit on a table. the tables were all very close to others and we have a preference. they said they didn't have enough help to give us one! whaaaaat? they were all together in the room. the help could be on a table but not on a stand? we left. she obviously worked over her grade. was so rude to boot. I guess we're just not meant to try left coast. fortunately there are many other fish restaurants. I will tell this story and not return.
Visiting the area from out of town and the concierge at our hotel recommended this place. We really enjoyed our meals. The half order of onion rings seemed never ending and the seafood casserole was superb. Food was fresh, nice, cozy atmosphere and great service. Definitely worth checking out!
