What Jordi Hettinger doesn't like about Croissant Co:
Stopped by for egg salad sandwich. They were out of croissants so we had it on a fresh baguette. However when we received our sandwiches it was literally a hunt for the egg! For $10+ a piece I would expect to find a bit more egg in it. After all, eggs are not too expensive and I would say we had one a piece in our sandwiches. The customer service and welcome were lacking. It was our first time there and I mentioned that, but the line was so long that we couldn't see the whole menu. We didn't see any menus to see our options either. I couldn't find any forks or knives and overall, I was confused about how the system works and felt overwhelmed. I couldn't find a way to ask someone for help, and all the workers seemed busy and unapproachable. However, the food was fantastic. Maybe it was just a busy time and they were short-staffed. We will give it another try for dinner because the food was incredible.
The pastries at this restaurant are excellent, and the staff is great. The doors open at 8 o'clock, and there is always a line. I ordered the celestial twist and a pain au chocolat, both of which were delicious. The hot chocolate was good, but the cappuccino was just okay.
I have no words. the best French bakery we've ever been in the usa. it's like making a bakery in france. the chocolates are my absolute favorite. full of delicious chocolate mousse?

I was not sure what to expect with breads in Florida given the water. But the almond croissants are over the top. I almost thought I had bought it from NYC it is that good. Line is usually at the door before they open. Get here early before they sell out.
