Hal's Bar & Grill at Primitivo

Hal’s is still one of our favorite restaurants. we love to sit in the terrace and enjoy our meal outdoors. Eat and service are always top notch! highly recommended!

Casual neighborhood restaurant with pleasant patio, consistently good food, and reasonable prices. A fine option instead of the trendy, overpriced, noisy, crowded restaurants on Abbot Kinney. Has been around for many years, and survived the changing neighborhood.

They were from several menu points. the starters came only after our escaped. overall poor service and mediocre food.

I don't understand why restaurants down the street were mobbed for brunch, and Hal's, just two blocks north, was fairly quiet. The service was, as usual, excellent. Our waiter, whose name I should have noted, was warm and friendly, and gave his opinions when asked. The food was even more beautiful than ever, and delicious as always. Plus, they now have a muffin basket at a reasonable price which, while not the free basket of tiny treats from before this move, was just what we wanted. My cappuccino was perfect, too. The patio was cool and lovely. Our friends had breakfast pizzas, and loved them. Hubs had a frittata and was very happy with it, and I inhaled my huevos rancheros AND the chili rellano that accompanied it.

Just love this place!! Warm and friendly, great food, top service and moderately priced. Don't miss it!
