I had a great dinner. The waitress welcomed me inside and I took the 3 course menu for €12. It was more than enough! I was full after my first course and forced me to eat my second dish. But it was really good. The waiter was friendly, a great ambience, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a good meal! View all feedback.
What Radames Rinaldi doesn't like about Al Poggio:
The food was really bad if you can, avoid this place. Pizza was greasy and had no taste. What is more, we got charged two times Coperto but ALSO 12% service tax! The only good thing were nice waiters. View all feedback.
I don't know why this place has bad reviews. The food is absolutely amazing and cheap. All pasta dishes are under 15 euros and very decent size. The salads are large and not a small side, it is a good substantial salad with fresh ingredients. We tried other restaurants and arrived three times on our trip the food was so good! I really recommend coming here

Honestly, I don't know what the deal is with the bad reviews... I'm really suspicious that the bad reviews of competitors are restaurants that try to bring the best. We've been in Venice for three days. In our first night we were welcomed to eat, although they were closed in 20 minutes. The portions left us all filled and the price is very reasonable, especially given the amount of food. Yesterday we went to another restaurant and were disappointed because we compared it to Al Poggio. Tonight we returned and were treated to a free glass of wine. I highly recommend sharing meals so you can taste the variety they have to offer. We'll talk about our dinner tomorrow. I never write reviews, but I felt compelled because there are some of the best foods I have eaten and I want others to experience it too
The portions are HUGE and absolutely delicious. Our first night here, we stumbled on this place and ordered lasagna and pizza; it was amazing. Everything is made with fresh ingredients and the pasta and pizza were all homemade. They were even late open to teach us as our train arrived late. Tonight we had the bruchetta, Chicken Zeasar salad, spaghetti and meatballs, ham and ravioli and Sirloin steak with grilled vegetables. We were greeted with a free glass of white wine and our order was taken quickly, although a whole house. Our order came fast and was absolutely delicious. We've been here twice and will be back before we leave in two days.
This is a wonderful place to come inside and rest from the heat. Whether you eat salad or pasta or dessert, you will eat well. Our server was helpful with questions silly tourists like myself ask. He was wonderful and made our visit that much nicer.
