The space is elegant with some whimsical touches (the wallpaper). We chose the a la carte menu and had the tartare (extremely generous portion), the pumpkin risotto, the ribeye, the suckling pork and a variety of creative and delicious desserts. We dined during white truffle season and there were many dishes with truffles to select. It was an extremely expensive meal but it was a special occasion worth the extravagance. So delightful to have the chef come out to greet us at the end of the meal.

The décor of the restaurant is a reason to visit itself. Designed by Philippe Starck the dining room is decorated in interesting taxidermy and Luigi Bevilacqua silk wallpaper, with the faces of the Alajmo brothers woven into the pattern. Overall, the restaurant décor is elevated to an artistic level and something to be admired. Pair all of this with large windows overlooking the Piazza and you understand that Ristorante Quadri is a very special place. Service is top notch, friendly but always professional, the best kind. We drank Masseto 2015, which complimented the wonderful flavours of the menu, classic and familiar flavours/dishes interpreted in a modern way, which I think is what makes Alajmo cuisine so great. Quadri and Le Calandre are a must visit! I look forward to returning next time I’m in Venezia.
