At first they seemed reserved, but when I opened discussions I received enthusiastic and attentive responses. They were happy to introduce their art. The ingredients were good and the dishes amazing. I don't remember experiencing such subtle harmonic flavours and textures in a long time. An entirely different world from the majority of Venetian restaurants. I wish I pass through Venice again.

What was particularly odd was that 3 of our party ordered the vegetarian burger, which was said to come with vegetables, but what was actually served was a different vegetable on each of the 3 plates. One person ending up with a serving of tinned peas as their accompanying vegetable. It felt that because they are relatively niche they could take advantage of their customers. We wound not return or recommend.

An antipasti... read more Really, really upset that my first meal in Venice was at this place. I’m a lone female traveller and was really ripped off/taken advantage of here. An antipasti was added to my bill that I ate thinking it was my main meal. I raised this and they still insisted on overcharging me. The male manager was a bully who made everything feel as if it’s my fault. It wasn’t. In the end after trying to reason with them I thought just pay the extra €6 and leave. Wanted to leave this review so others (especially lone travellers) can be on their guard with this one. It was a total rip off and really, really upsetting situation when you’re torn down by staff like that and I would hate to think anyone was ripped off for more. Put a dampener on my meal and was a horrible ‘welcome’ to Venice.
