We sat outside which was a treat for us since we typically sit inside in Europe because of all the smoking. The staff was friendly and attentive. Don’t waste your time with the bread they bring to the table. It was dry and stale. Save your appetite for their pasta! We had the gnocchi and the lasagna. Both were very delicious. What IhateTv doesn't like about Dallo Zio:
How this ^place has changed. Uninspired food. Salmone with little salmone. And the pasta con verdure di stagione came in the same sause. The pasta was not all'dente. The tiramisu came in a big cup, with thick glass. So that I found just six scoupes of tira'. The whiped cream on the lit gave very little consolation. To end on a positive point: according to my wife, the risoto was dilicious. A shame: another one bites... View all feedback.
My sister and I were looking for a decent pizzeria whilst we were in Venice and found this one. It hit the spot for sure. Not only did the food taste fresh, but they were also massive portions! I ordered the breasola pizza and my sister the calzone, and we shared a caprese salad. Unfortunately we were unable to finish all of our food :

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here on a Saturday night. We were walk ins and chose this place as it offered a bit more variety than others in the area which are very much Venetian and or seafood centric. That said as ever, if its on the menu I had the Spaghetti al nero di seppie. I also had the white fish and mint ravioli which was incredible really would be a fantastic bowl of food to enjoy in the sun with a crisp white wine and sea view. Impressed. Really thought their beer offer was great, had numerous local Venetian beers. I had the Rosso which I rate. Good service, nice atmosphere, romantic. Memorable. Grazie

A treat to stumble across on a Sunday evening.
We stumbled across this little gem on our first night, the places was paced with locals(always a good sign). The waiter asked if we needed a table, he found us a free one as a party were leaving. He replaced the table cloth and set it up fully again for us. Our drinks were served quickly and along with some bread sticks and sliced bread, Not long after our meals came along, lovely ravioli with a creamed basil sauce and a traditional wood fired pizza (not a soggy bottom in sight), we also had a side of fries. Even though the restaurant was really busy the staff were so friendly and jovial, their English is impeccable. The whole, very filling meal came to a mere €39 euros. A real bargain and we may well go back tomorrow A
